Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

1. About This Policy

Fire Frog (ABN 36 929 328 717) ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). By using our website or submitting a contact form, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect personal information you provide directly to us, including: • Your name • Email address • Phone number • Your suburb or location • The nature of your enquiry • Any photos you choose to attach to your enquiry We do not collect sensitive information (such as health, financial, or government identifier data) through our website. Photos you attach to an enquiry are stored with our hosting provider and are used only to scope and quote the work you asked about. We do not publish them without asking you first. Some information is collected automatically as you browse, whether or not you contact us. That covers your IP address, the browser and device you are using, the pages you open and how long you spend on them, and the site or search that sent you here. We use it to keep the site working and to understand which pages are worth improving, not to identify you.

3. Information We Collect From Other Sources

Some information reaches us without you handing it to us directly. • Reviews and ratings you leave on a public platform such as Google, which anyone can already see and which we may display on this website • Details passed on by whoever referred you, such as a builder, property manager, strata manager or another trade, when they ask us to contact you about work at your property • Publicly listed business contact details, where you are a business customer Where your information comes to us from someone else, we handle it under this policy exactly as if you had given it to us yourself.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide solely to: • Respond to your enquiry or request • Provide you with a quote or schedule a service visit • Follow up on your enquiry if you haven't received a response We do not use your personal information for marketing without your explicit consent. We will not add you to any mailing list unless you specifically request it.

5. Commercial Electronic Messages

If we send you an email or SMS about our services, we do so in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). In practice that means three things. • We only send one where you have asked us to, or where you are an existing customer and the message relates to the work we do for you • Every message identifies Fire Frog as the sender and gives you a way to reach us • Every message carries a working unsubscribe option, and we action an unsubscribe within five working days We do not sell, rent, or supply your email address or mobile number to anyone else for their own marketing, and we never use address harvesting software or a harvested list to build one. Anyone who sends on our behalf works to an internal policy that says the same. If you have unsubscribed from one of our lists and cannot find the unsubscribe link, or it does not appear to have worked, contact us and we will remove you. If you receive an unauthorised or offensive commercial message that appears to come from us, please assume it was not sent by us and tell us about it, so we can look into it. Address spoofing is common and we would rather hear about it than not.

6. Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our business (such as email delivery services), subject to strict confidentiality obligations. We will only disclose your information to third parties where required by law or with your consent.

7. When We May Use or Disclose Without Your Consent

The Australian Privacy Principles permit use or disclosure of personal information without consent in a small number of defined situations. We rely on them only where one genuinely applies: • You have consented to it • You would reasonably expect it and it is directly related to the purpose you gave us the information for • It is required or authorised by an Australian law, or by an order of a court or tribunal • We reasonably believe it is necessary to lessen or prevent a serious threat to the life, health or safety of any person, or to public health or safety • It is reasonably necessary for the enforcement of a criminal law, for a law imposing a pecuniary penalty, or for the protection of public revenue Outside those situations we ask you first.

8. Analytics and Cookies

Our website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. These services collect anonymised data such as pages visited, time on site and general location. This data is not linked to your personal identity unless you submit our contact form. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The cookies and similar identifiers this site sets fall into two groups: • Site performance: which pages loaded, how quickly, and where something failed, so we can fix it • Analytics: how many people visit, which pages they read and where they arrived from, reported to us in aggregate rather than per person We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes, and we do not build an advertising profile from your visit. Third parties whose content appears on our pages may also use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies of their own when your browser loads that content. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and most browsers can be set to warn you before one is stored. Parts of the site may not display correctly if you do.

9. Embedded Content and Social Media Links

Some pages carry content served by another company, such as a map, an embedded video, or a link or button belonging to a social media platform. That content comes from the provider rather than from our servers, so the provider can see that your browser requested it, and may set its own cookies or record its own usage data whether or not you click anything. We have no control over what those providers collect or what they do with it, and if you hold an account with one of them and are signed in, they may be able to connect the visit to that account. Their own privacy policies govern that, not this one.

10. Reviews and Ratings

If you leave a review or a rating, on a public platform such as Google or directly with us, we may publish some or all of it on this website together with the name and star rating shown on the original. If you would rather a review of yours was not shown here, tell us using the contact details at the end of this policy and we will take it off the site. We cannot remove it from the platform you posted it on, because only you can do that.

11. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. Your information is stored securely on our service providers' infrastructure and is accessible only to authorised staff. Those steps include limiting who can open an enquiry, keeping the systems that hold them patched, and removing access when someone no longer needs it.

12. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep your contact enquiry only as long as we actually need it, and then delete it securely. In practice an enquiry that does not turn into work is kept while the quote is live and for a short period after, in case you come back to it. Where we have done work for you, the job record is kept for as long as the tax, warranty and electrical compliance obligations attached to that work require, which is usually several years, and then destroyed.

13. Keeping Your Information Accurate

We take reasonable steps to keep the personal information we hold accurate, current and complete. An out-of-date record is the one most likely to send a quote, an invoice or a technician to the wrong address. If a detail we hold about you changes, or you think something we hold is wrong, tell us and we will correct it.

14. Access and Correction

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, and to request that we correct any inaccurate or outdated information. To make an access or correction request, please contact us using the details at the end of this policy. We will respond within a reasonable time (typically within 30 days).

15. Links to Other Websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external sites you visit.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may amend this policy from time to time. A change takes effect once the updated policy is published on this page, and the date at the top of the page shows when that last happened. If you keep using the website after a change, you accept the updated policy.

17. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, wish to make a privacy complaint, or would like to exercise your access or correction rights, please contact us: Email: projects@firefrog78.com.au Phone: 0411 186 673 We take all privacy complaints seriously and will respond promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
